The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation held a blessing and groundbreaking ceremony on Monday at the future site of the Kaakaukukui (Civic Center) Station in Kakaako.
The event marks the beginning of construction on the next phase of the rail project — the City Center Guideway and Stations segment — heading into the urban Honolulu area.
