WAIANAE, Hawai’i (Island News) — A wildland fire that broke out early this morning near 85-829 Waianae Valley Rd is now under control, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
The initial call came in at 5:27 a.m., and several fire units responded quickly. By 6:11 a.m., firefighters had the fire under control, with additional units arriving to assist in containing the blaze. Honolulu Police were also on scene by 5:47 a.m.
The fire is currently less than an acre in size and is 90% contained. No evacuations have been ordered, and no structures are threatened…
