HONOLULU (KHON2) — A suspect has now been formally charged in connection with a disturbing acid attack that left a man permanently scarred.
Suspect in Chinatown acid attack has been arrested
On Tues., Aug. 19, just after 4:30 p.m., the Honolulu Police Department charged 34-year-old Marquis Johnson with assault in the first degree. His bail was set at $500,000.
Earlier this week, on Sun., Aug. 17, Johnson turned himself in to the police where detectives took him into custody.
