Arson arrest made following Kunia Road fire

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Honolulu police made an arrest in connection to an arson investigation in Kunia.

Kunia fire deemed no accident, intentionally set: HPD

On Aug. 23, at around 11 a.m., a fire call was made from the Kunia Road and Leialii Street area, where patrol officers and firefighters responded.

According to Honolulu police, they worked with fire investigators and then opened a first-degree arson case.

Members of HPD’s Homicide and Strategic Enforcement Detail identified the suspect as a 70-year-old male who was reported leaving the scene in a pickup truck…
