HONOLULU (Island News) — The man who was charged for the alleged hit-and-run death of a 16-year-old girl on Kapiolani Boulevard in 2023 will change his plea to guilty on Friday.
Mitchel Miyashiro, 47, who was charged with negligent homicide is expected to plead guilty on Sept. 12, 2025, according to court documents. This guilty plea would be for all of the charges involved in the hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Sara Yara on Feb. 15, 2023, which would also come with no deal.
