HPD moves forward with plans for school resource officers at three high school campuses

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu’s interim police chief, Rade Vanic, wants to start a pilot program that would result in law enforcement officers being on campus in some schools.

Vanic made the announcement at Wednesday’s meeting of the Honolulu Police Comission.

Kaimuki, Kapolei and Waianae high schools would be under the watch of the school resource officers…
