HONOLULU (Island News) — A judge has ordered the man accused of murdering his wife in Halawa to undergo a mental fitness evaluation.
Frank Bright, 38, was indicted on Sept. 10, 2025 for second-degree murder for the death of his wife Aimee Takaki-Bright, 43, in their home on Haaheo Place. Before any criminal proceedings, a judge ordered a mental evalutaion for the defendant in Oahu First Circuit Court on Sept. 18
Bright allegedly killed her with a tomahawk blade. Honolulu prosecutors confirmed that she died from multiple chop wounds to her head and neck.
