HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Police Department, Honolulu Fire Department and Honolulu Emergency Medical Services responded to a chemical incident at a Waikiki bank on Monday, Sept. 29.
Police were dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of a man entering the First Hawaiian Bank Waikiki branch and passing a demand note to the teller, HPD said.

Officials said the teller handed over the currency, but the suspect became “agitated and walked toward the exit” when the amount did not match the suspect’s demand.
HPD said that before the man left, he sprayed a substance inside the bank. In a later update, HPD said that preliminary field tests indicated the substance used was oleoresin capsicum spray, also known as OC spray…
