HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A Kona woman is facing federal fraud charges after she allegedly sold mislabeled coffee for over a decade.
On Thursday, Sept. 25, a 26-page federal indictment said Patricia Johnson, 66, was charged with 24 counts, including:
- 16 counts of wire fraud,
- 5 counts of illegal monetary transactions,
- 3 counts of obstruction of justice.
According to prosecutors, between October 2012 and April 2024, Johnson earned millions in revenue by advertising, labeling, and selling “100% Kona coffee.”
