Celebrating Filipino American History Month in Hawaii

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – October is Filipino American History Month, with several events happening across the state, including:

OCTOBER 4:

  • 9 a.m.: 4th Annual Filipino Cultural Summit and 43rd Sariling Gawa Youth Conference “Weaving Cultural Resilience: Threads of Filipino Identity Across Eras” at Leeward Community College features interactive sessions, discussions and workshops about Filipino culture and heritage.
  • 12-8 p.m.: Philippine Airlines’ 3rd USA Cup at the Waikele Golf Country Club. The event brings together over 150 golfers for charity.
