Shorelines of all islands to experience minor coastal flooding during peak high tides

National Weather Service forecasters in Honolulu issued a coastal flood statement for all islands of Hawai‘i as minor coastal flooding can be expected during high tides through Friday afternoon.

Forecasters say peak monthly tides combined with higher-than-predicted water levels will lead to minor flooding along shorelines and in low-lying coastal areas throughout the islands.
