HONOLULU (Island News) — The Honolulu Skyline rail, which has connected Kapolei to Aloha Stadium since 2023, is about to expand its reach. Soon, passengers will be able to ride all the way to the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport and Middle Street.
The new stretch, known as “Segment 2″ of the Skyline system, is already generating buzz among commuters who say it will make travel across the island faster and easier.
“It’ll be very useful. I think a lot of the people here don’t have cars. I mean, so it’s great. Public transport is always good,” said public transport user Hana Yoon.
With Oʻahu traffic often slowing down bus routes, the city is promoting the Skyline’s reliability with the slogan, “Skyline, always on time.”…
