HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The 10th annual LeaLea Charity Run 5K returns after a six-year hiatus to raise money for Waikiki Aquarium.
The HIS Hawaii event was on Oct. 12 from 7 to 9 a.m. at Ala Moana Beach Park. Anyone seven years old and older was able to run a simple course around the park.
Since 2011, the run has benefited many local nonprofits before the COVID-19 pandemic caused them to take a break. This year, it supports the rebuilding of the aquarium’s “Edge of the Reef” exhibit, displaying Hawaii’s coastal marine life…
