Man accused releasing pepper spray during robbery pleads not guilty

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – A man accused of releasing pepper spray while attempting to rob a First Hawaiian Bank in Waikiki pleaded not guilty Monday.

Charles Christian, 66, was indicted on a second-degree robbery charge for an incident that shut down Lewers Street for several hours on Sept. 29.
