Swap Meet is open for business at its new location

HALAWA, Hawaii (Island News) — The Swap Meet & Marketplace is now open in its new home, the Upper Halawa parking lot, amid all of the upcoming construction at Aloha Stadium.

The Swap Meet said a hui hou to its original stomping grounds at the stadium and officially reopened at its new spot on Wednesday, Oct. 15. The new location is still home to Hawaii’s premier outdoor market bringing over 400 vendors, crafters and artists.

This move is aligned with the construction for the New Aloha Stadium Entertainment District, expected to be completed by Spring 2029. Demolition to Aloha Stadium will begin soon but before it happens, the “Aloha to Aloha Stadium” concert on Oct. 25 will celebrate the stadium’s legacy.

Roscoe Kalilikane, owner of HI Nesian Apparel and a Swap Meet vendor for 35 years, spoke about the relocation, “Everybody is together in a group and our customers can walk back and forth, and hopefully catch everybody in the same; selling the product they need to sell.”…
