WAIʻANAE, Hawaiʻi (KHON2) – A 20-year-old man is in custody after police said he assaulted an officer during a disturbance in Waiʻanae this morning, Oct. 26.
Officials said District 8 officers responded to Ala Hema St. around 11:57 a.m. after getting reports of a man with a handgun arguing with a family member.
When officers arrived, the man became aggressive and tried to grab one of the officers’ guns…
