HONOLULU (KHON2) – City crews will begin harvesting the Honolulu City Lights holiday tree on Monday, Nov. 3, starting at 8:30 a.m. in Kahala.
The 55-foot Cook pine will be carefully cut and transported to Honolulu Hale, where it will serve as the centerpiece of this year’s holiday celebration in Dec.

The annual effort is a coordinated project by crews from the Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation, Environmental Services, Facility Maintenance, and the Honolulu Police Department. Officials remind the public that timing may be adjusted in the case of bad weather.
