79-year-old Benjamin Takayesu and his sister, 76-year-old Alison Takayesu Kessner, comes from a legacy of bicycle entrepreneurs.
Their grandfather, Giei Takayesu, migrated to Hawaii in 1906 and worked in a plantation on Maui. Six years later, their grandmother, who was a picture bride, arrived and worked in the plantation as well. Kessner’s father, Buster, was born the following year…
