HFD extinguishes structure fire in Makaha, 69-year-old woman hospitalized

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) said they responded to a two-alarm fire Thursday morning, Nov. 6, at 84-680 Kili Drive in Mākaʻha.

Dispatchers got the 911 call at 8:53 a.m., and they said 11 units with 40 firefighters arrived by 9 a.m. to deal with the blaze.

HFD said that flames and smoke were coming from a unit on the 16th floor of a high-rise building when crews arrived and that firefighters quickly set up water lines and began their high-rise fire attack…
