Food2Go: Taste the Town Wahiawa helps small businesses thrive through free, family-fun event

HONOLULU (KHON2) – Get ready to taste your way through Wahiawā this weekend — with local food, fun, and community all on the menu. Taste the Town Wahiawā is coming up Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025 from 1-6 p.m. at the Wahiawa Value-Added Product Development Center.

The Office of Economic Revitalization and Wahiawā Fresh are presenting Taste the Town Wahiawā. It builds on the Center’s monthly Market Day, featuring twice as many local food vendors — including Bitter Root Brewery.

At Bitter Root Brewery Hawaiʻi, they craft non-alcoholic ginger beers made with locally grown ingredients. The idea started from a graduate project at UH focused on creating something that celebrates Hawaiʻi’s flavors while supporting local farmers. They grow ginger and galangal at The Farm of the Fearless Monkey and turmeric at Aloha Turmeric – even using B-grade produce to reduce waste…
