Popular Hawaii holiday pop-up opens in Mililani

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Trojan Trading Post returns for the holidays at the Town Center of Mililani, featuring the work of Mililani High School’s career and technical education students. All proceeds support CTE’s scholarships and programs.

“It’s open for a limited time,” said Assistant Manager of the Trojan Trading Post, Ashlynn Mahelona. “It’s our fifth year partnering with Town Center of Mililani, offering a great experience for our students and unique gift ideas for the community!”

Some of the offerings include:

  • Culinary: Cookie mix, seasoning salts, li hing lemon peel gummies and Toffee Pecan Crunch
  • Fashion: Scrunchie wristlets, resin keychains and zipper pouches
  • Building and Construction: Napkin holders, perpetual calendars, Christmas countdowns and trivets
  • Health: Brain bubbles and Mini Med kits
  • Business: Trojan onesie, car freshener, pukenikeni clay key chain, custom designed hats and shopping bags.

This year they also have a special collaboration with Noms to design custom shirts.

“It’s work-based learning and a real life learning experience,” said marketing lead Sophia Kusumoto. “The students are managing the inventory, product development, schedules, marketing, floorplan design and more! It’s a great way to have our students learning while contributing to the community.”…
