Honolulu City Lights celebration kicks off with concert, ceremony and parade

HONOLULU (Island News) – It’s the most wonderful time of the year where the community can gather and enjoy some beautiful festive lights that’ll sparkle in Honolulu!

Locals and visitors alike are invited to a two-hour holiday concert by the Royal Hawaiian Band, featuring Hawaii’s favorite artists like Henry Kapono, Raiatea Helm, the Kamehameha Schools Choir, and more. The concert is totally free for everyone and will be located at the Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall at 7 p.m.

The holiday fun doesn’t end there because the iconic Honolulu City Lights celebration will kick off with the Mayor’s Tree Topping Ceremony on Saturday, November 29, at 6 p.m. Head to the front lawn of Honolulu Hale to enjoy a ceremony that will include a blessing, performances, and the lighting of the holiday tree!

The City will also be throwing a parade and block party that same night, with tons of local vendors and holiday-themed fun happening all night long. Guests can enjoy a holiday concert behind the Mission Memorial Auditorium at 7 p.m. that’ll feature Henry Kapono and the Boys and The Band…
