The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) will close three westbound lanes on the H-1 Freeway near the Makakilo Drive off-ramp in Honolulu. The closure will start at 8 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2025, and end at 4 a.m. the next day. Work will begin in the left lanes and move to the right lanes at midnight. The far-left lane of the Makakilo off-ramp will also be closed at that time. The closures are for survey and layout work before pavement repairs.
All freeway ramps in the area will stay open. Only one side of the freeway will be closed at a time. Police officers will help with traffic control. Electronic message boards will give drivers information about the closures. Motorists should expect delays and use caution in the work zone…
