High surf warning in full effect, lifeguards rescue dozens on the North Shore

NORTH SHORE (KHON2) — Oahu lifeguards rescued two dozen people on the North Shore today as a high surf warning is in full effect for north and west-facing shores.

Lifeguards say beachgoers need to be on alert as the real power of this swell is expected to hit tomorrow, Nov. 30.

As the surf builds across the state tonight, the National Weather Service forecasts waves to be as high as 35 to 40 feet…
