Skyline ridership increased almost 30K in November

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Skyline ridership grew by nearly 30,000 riders in November, the first full month of the rail’s second segment.

Segment 2 opened on Oct. 16, which skyrocketed the average weekday ridership from 4,449 to 10,423.

In November, average weekday ridership excluding Veterans Day and Thanksgiving slightly increased to 10,552. But the biggest jump is with the overall monthly ridership numbers.

October’s monthly ridership numbers totaled to 241,373. That month was an interesting one for Honolulu’s rail system, as Segment 2 opened in the middle, which more than doubled the average ridership pre-second segment…
