World War II veterans arrive on Oahu ahead of the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor

HONOLULU (Island News) — World War II veteran Milton “Rip” Ripple was greeted with aloha as he stepped off the plane at the Honolulu airport.

And even though arriving in Hawaii was a celebration, his trip is all about remembrance.

“You have to remember there was a lot of young men—younger that perished during the war and we’re lucky to be one of the survivors,” Ripple said…
