HONOLULU (KHON2) – A military doctor accused of misconduct involving patients is now being held in Texas, Army officials confirmed.
$9.5 million awarded to family of Army wife, mother who died from medical malpractice at Tripler Army Medical Service
The doctor was pulled from duty in Oct. after allegedly violating restrictions placed on him by his commander.
His suspension came as dozens of patients stepped forward, accusing the gynecologist of secretly recording their medical exams.
Army officials say the doctor previously worked at Tripler Army Medical Center in Hawai‘i, where he treated over 1,000 patients during his time on island. That triggered outreach to those patients to alert them of the investigation.
