Teamsters says bus company “pushing workers” towards a strike, putting public at risk

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Union leaders for the 900-plus bus drivers on Oahu say the bus company leaders are preventing a contract agreement from getting done, putting our transit system at risk.

But the bus company says their offer is fair, and they’re ready to get a deal done.

The bus services about 130,000 riders a month. And many of those riders fully support bus drivers.

OTS makes ‘last, best and final’ offer to union

“Yeah I hope these guys don’t go on strike cause that’ll be a drag man,” said Manny Lopez, bus rider. “Its gonna affect a lot of people.”…
