HONOLULU (KHON) — On Dec. 8, a pedestrian was hit by a car on Nimitz Highway in the Kalihi area around 8:07 a.m., Honolulu Police Department reported.
This marks traffic fatality 78 of 2025 on Oʻahu.
Male, 37, dead after head-on collision in Waipahu
According to police, the 24-year-old driver and her 54-year-old passenger were heading onto Nimitz Highway from H1 Freeway when she hit a 32-year-old pedestrian, who was crossing the highway outside of a marked crosswalk.
Emergency Medical Services took the man to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead, HPD said…
