Man, 29, arrested as police investigate more than two dozen Kapa‘a car break-ins

HONOLULU (KHON) — The Kauaʻi Police Department and the Department of Land and Natural Resources investigated a recent surge of car break-ins in the Kapaʻa area — approximately 25 incidents were reported at local trailheads, police said.

On Dec. 5, officers arrested a 29-year-old man for Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree and Criminal Property Damage in the Second Degree.

He is being held on $320,000 bail.
