Suspect charged for allegedly stabbing HPD officer

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A man accused of stabbing a police officer has been charged with attempted murder.

This morning, Dec. 11, Joshua Perry-Pruski was charged with Attempted Murder on a Law Enforcement Officer with bail set at $500,000.

On Dec. 9, the Honolulu Police Department responded to a reported disturbance on Kūhiō Avenue involving a 35-year-old man who was having a mental health crisis and was armed.

One of the officers who responded to the scene was stabbed by the man, who then proceeded to harm himself…
