Flood Watch remains in effect as wet weekend closes out

HONOLULU (KHON2) — What was an extremely wet weekend will continue into the workweek as the National Weather Service continues to have the islands under an active Flood Watch.

The Flood Watch was first called due to a front moving over the islands, which has stalled over Hawaiʻi Sunday and will continue to be stalled throughout Monday, the NWS said.

Watches throughout the islands will be in effect until “late Monday night” as a result of the front, officials said.
