Man, 35, indicted for attempted murder of HPD officer

HONOLULU (KHON2) — A 35-year-old man was indicted for Attempted Murder in the First Degree and two counts of Attempted Assault Against a Law Enforcement Officer, the Department of the Prosecuting Attorney said on Dec. 16.

Joshua Perry-Pruski was indicted for an alleged stabbing of a Honolulu Police Department officer that occurred on Dec. 9.

HPD officer stabbed in Waikīkī

The stabbing allegedly occurred after officers responded to a suspicious circumstances call on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki. Upon arrival, Perry-Pruski allegedly stabbed an officer during a mental health crisis.

After the alleged stabbing, HPD said Perry-Pruski harmed himself…
