Ocean safety rescues pregnant woman having trouble getting out of China Walls waters

HAWAII KAI, Hawaii (Island News) — Honolulu Ocean Safety assisted a pregnant woman on Thursday morning who had trouble getting out of the water at China Walls.

A 911 call was made about a young pregnant woman who needed help getting out of the water in the China Walls area at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Honolulu Ocean Safety said. Ocean safety responded to the call and mobile responders arrived at the scene within minutes.

The mobile responders jumped into the water and safely rescued her afloat using a rescue tube. They waited for a jet ski crew to arrive and then she was safely taken to the Hawaii Kai boat ramp. She declined further help once she was back on land at the ramp area…
