Driver, pedestrian hospitalized after Waikiki crash involving multiple people

HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu EMS responded to a serious crash in the Waikiki area on Saturday afternoon, Dec. 27.

The incident occurred at around 4:18 p.m. on Kalakaua Avenue and involved a single vehicle and multiple pedestrians. A video from the scene shows damage to a hotel pillar as staff worked to clear the debris.

According to EMS, the 68-year-old male driver was taken to the hospital after suffering traumatic injuries to his body. He was treated at the scene and taken to a trauma hospital in serious condition.
