HONOLULU (KHON2) — The Honolulu Fire Department extinguished a fire at a residence on Waikalua Place in Kaneʻohe during the early morning hours of Dec. 30.
The fire was first reported at 2 a.m., with HFD units arriving within minutes to the two-story home, which was fully in flames.

HFD officials began to directly address the fire while simultaneously protecting nearby homes. Despite this, the blaze spread to two neighboring residences, officials said.
