KAPOLEI, Hawaii (Island News) – A single-vehicle collision turned fatal after it was reported that a vehicle crashed into a fence in the Kalaeloa area, the morning of New Year’s Day.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. at the intersection area of Coral Sea Road and Roosevelt Avenue. Officials reported that a 33-year-old man and his 24-year-old passenger were headed northbound on Coral Sea Road when he traveled to the right of the roadway near the intersection of Roosevelt Ave and collided into a fence.
Police reported that the man was driving at a high speed at the time of the collision. As a result of the incident, the 33-year-old man was taken by the Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a nearby hospital in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead…
