NANKULI, Hawaii (Island News) — Honolulu firefighters extinguished a house fire in Nanakuli on Thursday evening.
The Honolulu Fire Department received a 911 call about a fire near Nanakuli Avenue and Mano Avenue in Nanakuli at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026. When firefighters arrived at the scene a few minutes later, they found an active fire at a single-family home.
Firefighters conducted an offensive fire attack and searched the property to determine no one was inside. They were able to get the fire under control at 5:49 p.m. and fully extinguished it by 6:06 p.m…
