Meet Bun Bun: The viral bunny that worked as a park ranger before being reunited with her family

HONOLULU (KHON2) — For the Millers, a trip to Hawaiʻi Island was just like any other, with parents Marisa and Charles taking their 6-year-old daughter Helena to Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historic Park on Nov. 3.

While there, Helena lost track of her beloved stuffed bunny, “Bun Bun.” What was a fun family trip to the islands had quickly turned worrisome for the little girl.

“Bun Bun is a travel partner for Helena. We went to the park on one of our last days there, and at some point… Helena was like ‘hey, who knows where my bunny is?’” Charles said.

The family thought that Bun Bun had just ended up in their checked luggage while they made their way back to their home state of Virginia. But Helena quickly realized that wasn’t the case…
