KALIHI, Hawaii (KHON2) — A residential building fire in Kalihi was extinguished Saturday morning, Jan.3, according to the Honolulu Fire Department.
Firefighters were called to a two-story apartment building on Kalena Drive just before 10:40 a.m. Crews arrived within minutes and found an active fire inside the building.
‘Accidental’ building fire causes damages at more than $900k
One person exited the building on their own and was treated by Emergency Medical Services as a precaution, declining EMS transport to a hospital. HFD extricated two dogs and one cat.
