Lawmakers push for move-over law expansion following Oahu’s 3rd traffic fatality of the year

KAPOLEI, Oahu (KHON2) — On Sunday night, Jan. 4, a parked vehicle near the Makakilo off-ramp on the H1 West was struck by a car.

The parked vehicle, in turn, struck two men, 24 and 26, who were changing the parked vehicle’s tire. The 24-year-old was transported by EMS in critical condition, and the 26-year-old succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
