The owners of Waikiki Korean eatery ME BBQ say that’s what happened to them. They just reopened in a new space on Kuhio Avenue last year, after their landlord ended their lease on Uluniu in 2022.
“Our story is one of family, hard work, and community support built over three decades,” co-owner Minjae Kim said. “Recently, another restaurant began operating at our former location using a similar name, which has caused confusion for some customers.
