Travel-related Zika and dengue cases reported on Oahu

HONOLULU (Island News) – The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) identified travel-related cases of Zika and dengue viruses on Oahu.

This marks the first confirmed Zika case on Oahu in 2026, with the last travel-related Zika case reported in Hawaii in 2025. According to the DOH, the dengue case will be recorded as the 15th case for 2025.

DOH teams are actively conducting outreach and implementing mosquito control measures in affected areas to prevent the spread of these mosquito-borne viruses…
