EWA BEACH, Hawaii (Island News) – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) notified the public to avoid an area on Farrington Hwy on Wednesday morning after military explosives were discovered.
At 11:53 a.m. HDOT reported that an unexploded ordinance was found during a shoulder excavation.
As a result of the discovery, officials shut down Farrington Hwy between Kahi Mohala and Aloun Farms in both directions. Roads were reopened at 1:14 p.m. and the operation addressing the ordinance was confirmed to be finished…
