Late Wednesday on Kinau Street, a machete attack left one person with serious injuries and landed a 22-year-old man in handcuffs. Police say the victim was taken to a nearby hospital and remains under medical care, while investigators keep a tight lid on further details as they work the case.
According to KITV, Honolulu police arrested the 22-year-old at about 11 p.m. on Jan. 14 and booked him on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder. KITV reports he remains in custody as detectives investigate, and authorities are not yet releasing his name or any possible motive.
