Oahu businesses, agents charged with criminal tax violations

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Two Oahu businesses and their agents were charged in unrelated cases after prosecutors say they willfully failed to file their tax returns.

In both cases, the agents were responsible for filing tax returns on behalf of the businesses, according to the Hawaii Department of Taxation.

The department said CF Oahu and agent Bryant W. Powers were each charged with five counts of willful failure to file a return under Section 231-35 of the Hawaii Revised Statutes…
