Local golfers falter on Day 2 of Sony Open in Hawaii; 5 tied atop leaderboard

HONOLULU — The stay for two local golfers at Waialae Country Club lasted two days shorter than they’d hoped.

Competing in what might be the final Sony Open in Hawaii, Mid-Pacific head teaching pro Corey Kozuma and University of Hawaii junior Anson Cabello could not make to the weekend, falling short of the 1-under cut line on Friday.
