KAIMUKI, Hawaii (Island News) — In a neighborhood known for its walkability, small shops, local makers, and community feel, one storefront is doing double duty.
Entrepreneur Summer Shiigi is operating two creative businesses under one roof — blending fashion, retail, and local production in a model that reflects both innovation and Hawaiʻi values.
Shiigi is the owner of Ten Tomorrow, a clothing brand focused on locally made apparel, and Daily Whisk Matcha, a boutique matcha café with ingredients directly from Japan. Instead of separating the two, she chose to build them together in a single shared space.
That decision has turned her Kaimukī shop into a hybrid business model — part retail storefront — where customers can browse apparel, shop curated goods, and see pieces of the production process happening on site and a café to bring people to her doorstep.
