HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Mahina ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, Hawaiian Language Month, officially kicked off Saturday at Windward Mall at the fifth annual Ola Ka ʻĪ Koʻolau.
Organizers said the event marks the beginning of a statewide series of Hawaiian language fairs throughout February and March, with support from the Kanaeokana, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha.
