Multiple HECO outages leave thousands in the dark across Oahu

HONOLULU (Island News) – Hawaiian Electric Company (HECO) crews are responding to multiple power outages reported across Oahu on Monday morning.

A power outage was first reported in the Kaneohe area at approximately 10:10 p.m. on Sunday night, when it was discovered that about 1,360 customers were left in the dark. It wasn’t until Monday morning at 7 a.m. when HECO confirmed that power was restored to some customers in the Kaneohe area, however approximately 6,410 customers remain without power.

Another power outage occurred in the Hawaii Kai area at 7 a.m. where 160 customers were impacted…
